Bruce has provided Behaviour Consulting to children O to 18 years of age and their families/community networks for the past 18 years. In this work, Bruce has worked extensively with children, their families, and the school and community settings. He designs behaviour plans to fit with a family's lifestyle, as well as placing the proper emphasis in the bahavioural work to connect with the child's specific abilities and needs. There are a number of therapeutic paths that have been developed for children with Autism, over the past two decades.

My approach in designing a behavioural program is to assess the needs and abilities of your child, then use the various programs available to create a best fit for your child and the family. Main areas of concern early on will be attending skills, language/communication adaptations, and social skill programs.

I will be glad to meet with you for an initial discussion around possible options of program design. This session may also be helpful to provide an orientation to the various parts of the behavioural programs and the community professionals such as Occupation Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Behavioural Interventionists, including the various community settings.

Fees

Bruce's fees are $90 dollars per hour for Behaviour Consultation in your home setting. Travel fees vary depending on the community and time allotted for your child/family. These fees are billed through the Autism Funding Program of the BC Government. Bruce provides Behaviour Consultation in Nanaimo, Port Alberni, the Comox Valley, and Campbell River. The program design fees vary as to the extent of programming necessary and time needed for the development or supervision of your child's team. These fees will be thoroughly discussed with you as to the hours required, and are at your discretion as to the level of support that you require.
